Summer fun!

After a stressful week of just life, we seriously contemplated cancelling the garage sale we had planned for July 9th.  We didn't have lots of stuff and were feeling unmotivated to get it set up, things priced, etc...  LUCKILY we decided to forge onward and got everything put together on Friday.

Good thing we did.  After the garage sale and some Craiglist sales for items not purchased at the garage sale, we walked away with $300!  What a blessing because we need to buy the other two tires for our Camry that we didn't replace in the fall.

Life is good otherwise.  Still busy and the summer is flying by.

We found a great deal on rolling duffel bags at Costco ($40 each) and some suitcases at Bass outlet that we can check on the plane for our move.  We decided to take everything with us on the plane because oddly, checking a 50 lb bag on an international flight ($200) is cheaper than shipping a 50 lb box via FedEx ($500).  This will greatly alleviate our packing time and we will use the remainder of our shipping/settling in allowance from the school to buy what we need once we get to Oman.  There is an IKEA in Dubai that we'll hit on weekend after we get settled, and there are toy stores and the European equivalent to Walmart locally in Muscat that we can get things at as well.

Aberly is having a great summer and loves being outside.  Here are a few pics of us and our girl enjoying summer!

Pledge to start blogging again

How sad to see that my last update was in January.  Sigh.  My high hopes for being a regular blogger were left for wanting.

Now will our move to Oman, I have new incentive to get back on the blogging bandwagon for all my friends and family so you can know what is going on in our lives.  Being home full time should also help.

Keep checking in to see what we are up to!

New Year!

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

The last month has been wonderful for the Price family.  Aberly got to experience her first Christmas and we enjoyed watching her!  Aberly is pretty much running at this point and keeping us busy.  We don't have to chase her a lot but she wants our attention most of the time!  It's been hard to do dishes or cook!

She has three new teeth and has one more on the bottom about to pop through.  After a few weeks of restless night, we are hoping her mouth will give her a break after this tooth and wait before sending more in!

It's been exciting to see her continue to develop and understand how things work.  Her memory is amazing and she is starting to copy us at times.  As much as she loves her bottle, Aberly is starting to show more loyalty to her sippy cups.  She has her favorite books to "read" and loves to play peek-a-boo, be tickled, and explore her toys.  She also loves taking showers with me in the morning.

Here are some fun pictures from the last month.
