Happy May!

Summer is finally making its debut...  Slowly...  We had two gorgeous days this weekend complete with 75 degree weather, sun, fluffy clouds, and a couple thunderstorms.  Aberly has loved being outdoors and has pink cheeks and nose to prove it.  The sun hat didn't quite to it's job.  At least the sunscreen kept her fair arms and legs safe.

Aberly has discovered screaming/shrieking again and blows our ears out all day long.  Half the time it's happy shrieking and the other half is mad shrieking.  At six months, she has figured out how to distinguish the two!  Here is a fun picture of "mad" shrieking.
Besides that, all is well as Aberly grows and develops.  She is enjoying oatmeal mixed with fruit each morning and a veggie in the evening.  This summer, we'll add something for "lunch".  We recently tried giving her small bits of bread or crackers, but she is still confused about what to do with things in her mouth that aren't pureed.
She is a champ at sitting up and playing in her exersaucer.  We also borrowed our neighbors "Jump A Roo" so we'll see if she enjoys that.  The door style Johnny Jump Up wasn't quite working for her.
With her growing, we're finding ourselves going through all her supplies that she is outgrowing.  We've been passing along clothes to friends of ours (keeping our favorites and gender neutral items, of course!) and putting a few things in the garage for storage (her swing and bouncer so far).  We'll tuck those up in the attic this summer.

Here are a few parting shots of our growing girl!

It's been awhile.

Our little girl is continuing to turn into a new person before our eyes every week.  She is becoming more engaged with her toys and recently has decided that a space shoelace is a very fun thing to chew on.  She still has a hard time holding on to toys and gets frustrated after awhile.  Her favorite place to play in on our bed.

She is having fun spending time with friends and "playing" with others.  She loves watching the big kids play!  We recently took a picture of all the babies in our young couples dinner group (through church).
