First Cold!

A rough last couple days as Miss Aberly picked up a runny nose and cough/sneeze from somewhere or someone.  Sunday and Monday were pretty fussy days for her but today has been a bit better.  She didn't sleep well Sunday night but last night was improved.

Poor little girl, she didn't know what hit her!

I did it!!!

I, Miss Aberly Grace, have to brag because I rolled over today!!!  I did it twice because I didn't want to be on my front.  Mom was totally caught off guard but thrilled!  She thinks I'm a wonder child!

Speaking of being amazing, here I am reading!

Quickie...

What a crazy week!  I've been visiting my parents in Corvallis while Colin is up in Port Townsend for his residency week (for his master's program).  The week has been full of visiting friends and family and going to LEST (a yearly tournament my mom's school participates in).  Due to this busy schedule, I haven't had the chances to update our blog like I wanted to.

It's been hard to be away from Colin for so long, but it's been wonderful at the same time to spend such a long time with my parents and let them have such quality time with Aberly.  Although a bit out of her element, she's done very well overall.

It's been amazing to see some of her development this week.  She's becoming more focused on chewing on her or my fingers, she is smiling so much more and bigger, she is content to sit longer and watch me/us, she "talks" a lot more, and she is on the verge of laughing.  She is so much fun!!!

Tomorrow we will drive up to Portland to pick up Colin and we'll head to home sweet home!

With Uncle Andrew on our visit

Continuing to grow!

Aberly had great reports at her last weigh-in.  As of Tuesday, she was 11 lbs, 5 oz (50th percentile) and 23 1/4 inches long (75th percentile).  So she is long and lean!

She is also growing more and more aware of her world.  This morning when I propped her on the Boppy for tummy time, she zeroed right in on her Elmo and links and grabbed for them.  This was a first!!!

Yesterday, we went and spent time with our friends, the Coulter's, whose daughter was born the same day at Aberly.  We had a fun time at their house and looking at new things, as well as talking and socializing (that was for mom!).  So far today, Aberly is doing great and has been a happy girl.  We have visits from Kari Sue and Andrea Dunker to look forward to!

We can't wait for tomorrow because Dad has the day off from work and we'll all get to hang out before he leaves for his residency week in Washington.  Nine days away!  During that time, Aberly and mom will stay with Grandpa and Grandma Schwartz in Corvallis.  We are looking forward to that time with them!

Here is one more fun picture of Aberly.  Even when she fusses, she is super cute!
